Trying to bring peace, government has decided to create a special task force that consisted of genetically engineered group of superhumans, who each had their own set of skills and powerful psionic abilities. This task force was named Knuckle Club, and it remains the most powerful tool ever created in fighting crime.

Distant future. Overwhelmed by crime, helpless government have legalized all use of martial arts in hope of citizens start trying to defend themselves. Quickly, the newly established law has widespread an even more vicious wave of crime, and now entire cities were filled with mobsters, marauders, and robbers.

 

 

With a special fighting system, the game keeps players alert on their toes while trying to throw a new challenge into the mix, such as rare enemies, bosses, hidden rooms and secret weapons.

 

There are several types of enemy per level, each with their own individual set of moves and weapons. Some foes are easy to predict and eliminate, while others become a difficult challenge quickly.

Knuckle Club is a 2D combat-focused action Brawler with RPG elements including collectible weapons, unique perks and powerful psionic abilities

 

Every level is completely hand drawn and is deeply interactive featuring special events, hidden passages and alternative storylines.

 

Knuckle Club features an innovative graphical API called FALSE 2D, which is a special toolset that simulates 3D conditions in 2D environments. With this API we are able to simulate dramatic hand-drawn scenery that wasn't simply generated via traditional lighting algorithms, thus giving us a total control over the final visual result.

 

This toolset allowed us to implement such features as ambient occlusion, dynamic shadows, volumetric lights and many other features, which resulted in pixel-perfect sharp and vibrant animated visuals.

 

At Kilobite, we believe that beautiful dynamic pixel art is a lost medium, and we are putting a lot of research into bringing this exciting part of video game industry back. We hope that one day, charming pixel art visuals will rival even cutting edge AAA 3D engines.

 

Knuckle Club features many RPG elements, including an inventory system and a separate skill tree for each character. These two combined can customize player's gameplay style to achieve distinct character builds that can help overcome challenging bosses and unlock secret locations.

 

Every weapon has exclusive hand drawn special effects and animations, which not only leads to exciting combat gameplay, but also makes item hunting much more rewarding.

 

And thanks to built-in multiplayer co-op mode, you can now share this adventure with your friends! Playing together increases strength of your enemies, making co-op as challenging as singleplayer mode.
